Open Call aimed at Palestinian artists

SAWA SAWA, artist residency program in support of the Palestinian scene

Call for applications for 33 3- to 6-month residencies organized in French cultural institutions (including Triangle-Astérides) in 2025, as part of the SAWA SAWA program run by the French Cultural Institute in Jerusalem.

This program is aimed at Palestinian artists of all disciplines (visual arts, performing arts, music, writing and cinema) living in Jerusalem, the West Bank or from Gaza and living abroad, to enable them to maintain a creative activity. In particular, the program aims to promote the diversity of Palestinian artists’ profiles, whether emerging or established, while emphasizing the diversity of social and geographical contexts.

Terms of residency at Triangle-Astérides for a visual arts laureate:
— residency from January 27 to April 4, 2025 ;
— 60 m2 individual studio at Triangle-Astérides ;
— curatorial support ;
— organization of professional networking ;
— a single room in a 90 m2 four-bedroom apartment, shared with other Triangle-Astérides residents and/or guests (shared bathroom, kitchen and living room) in downtown Marseille. It is possible to come with a spouse and/or child(ren), taking into account the communal living conditions implied by the shared apartment;
— residency fee of 2,500 euros ATI;
— Open Studio evening fee of 150 euros ATI.
