As part of our Atelier-Assemblée program, we are excited to present the performance L’éloge des vents contraires, “a light-hearted assessment of post-lockdown thinking.”
Yoan Sorin, an artist in residence at Triangle-Astérides since January, invites Jordan Kindell, a dancer with Ballet Preljocaj, to “share this space where stirring the air becomes a second breath.”

Yoan Sorin is a French artist born in 1982 in Cholet, currently living and working in Marseille. He is a graduate of the École supérieure des beaux-arts de Nantes Métropole, as well as the universities of Montreal and Cuenca. His work, which spans across drawing, painting, video, and performance, challenges the boundaries between popular culture and art. Sorin has exhibited in various spaces, including Friche la Belle de Mai (Marseille, 2015), Frac des Pays de la Loire (Nantes, 2016), A-Frame (La Courneuve, 2017), and the Hunter East Harlem Gallery (New York, 2018). His work has also been featured at 40mcube (Rennes, 2019) and the CAC Brétigny in the duo exhibition with Dana Michel, “Slash Universe” (2019). He has been involved as a dancer and designer with the Nada Production company since 2017 and collaborates with the 14n61w gallery in Fort-de-France.
Jordan Kindell was born in Los Angeles (US). He lives and works in Marseille (FR). He studied at the School of Oregon Ballet Theater and the School of American Ballet before working with companies such as the Oregon Ballet Theater, the Dance Theater of Harlem in New York, and the Victor Ullate Ballet in Spain. He joined the Ballet Preljocaj company, based in Aix-en-Provence, in 2019.
