Friche la Belle de Mai, 41 rue Jobin, 13003 Marseille
This performance is scheduled as part of the Parallèle Festival in partnership with gmem and Friche la Belle de Mai.
Inspired by shifting, aka the exploratory practice of Generation Z, which involves shifting one’s consciousness elsewhere or crafting a tailored life (a desired reality) through the power of thought and self-hypnosis, Remixed Settings imagines itself as a practice of escapism between plasticity and performativity.
In this metaphysical solo, Sandar Tun Tun traverses universes imbued with mythologies, spiritual cults, and symbols of otherness related to her origins, with which she engages to shape intermediary characters. Through a composite language where DJ sets, symbolic gestures, poetic narratives, and documentary forms coexist, she offers an interface to explore a mental universe made of co-presence or amalgamations of realities, stories, and utopias.
This work-in-progress is presented as part of the evening Parallèle - Modulation (7 PM - 11 PM) at gmem - Centre national de création musicale.
