“The eye is on alert, always ready to catch fragments of life, colors, gestures, emotions, moods. Returning to the studio is rich with these experiences. I decode these scenes laid out before my senses and reframe them into a true pictorial narrative, a reading of lived actions, with the desire to give them a meaning to be shared, to be read. Everything is tense, the murmur of life is there, placed on the canvas, fresh, fragile, and bearing authenticity. I seek a freedom of inscription where each viewer can find traces of a story to be lived.
The ease of execution paves the way for problems of image structure, which in turn feed the pleasure of painting. The present is omnipresent. There is an agility and strength in simply being there, alert, ready to live the moment with authenticity. I want to inscribe, through drawing and painting, the mirror of my gaze on the world. To inscribe through drawing and color the desire to share this adventure that leads me to hunger for diverse practices that nourish my work (singing, writing, sports).
