In response to the COVID crisis, Triangle-Astérides and La Friche joined forces to provide workspaces for artists from the Marseille area in the fall of 2020.
“My work is centered around painting, drawing, collage, and sculpture. I gather, search for, and assemble objects made of metal, plastic, concrete—anything I can find nearby, in the street, on a construction site, to bring into dialogue all these ‘non-noble’ forms and extract their most poetic essence. In my works, each story is unique. I combine all the conceivable dimensions created by these tools. Once this construction principle is established and expertly mastered, I navigate with the balance of these structures and do not hesitate to experiment with joyful encounters between drawings and volumes. In a way, I synthesize a set of elements that are familiar to us and bring them to light from a new angle, thereby opening up perspectives for original, singular, and sincere readings.”
