Sarah Netter offers a performance reading that blends essay and fiction, historical fact and humor, questioning the political and social roles of clothing. Through a documented and embodied narrative, the artist explores how the textile industries of southeastern France, and Marseille in particular, are linked to colonial history and workers’ struggles.

The performance incorporates costumes and scenographic accessories that materialize and amplify the themes addressed in the text. This performance offers a sensitive immersion in the history of textiles, revealing how clothing can be a vector of struggle, memory and political reappropriation.
