Fabrice Pichat invites us to a sensory, illusionistic, and a-reflective stroll at Triangle. Seeking to free us from the reflexes that condition our approach to the sensible and its learning, he encourages us to become, for the duration of the exhibition, true fools who, like the character in Dostoevsky’s eponymous novel, approach every situation as though untouched by the handicap of experience. From floating objects to absent, deformed, and even invisible ones, Fabrice Pichat’s practice affirms the existential potential of objects, which have become resistant to a single perception and carry a broader worldview for anyone willing to shed their civilised veneer and allow themselves to be led, for a moment, by a fool…
