For the first edition of Les Estuaires, an experimental programme involving associated audiences, Triangle-Astérides partnered with the Agence Pour l’Éducation par Le Sport (APELS), which “offers young people with little or no formal qualifications the opportunity to have their skills recognised and to receive individualised support through dedicated programmes.” APELS operates notably at La Friche la Belle de Mai. Eight young adults supported by APELS in Marseille expressed an interest in taking part in Les Estuaires.

As part of the programme, Louka Ananti, Nadir Boudjillouli, Yacine Djerbara, Adam Doudane, Mathias Nkaoua, Djayssen Ouchene, Alicia Salicetti and Djena Siby took part in shaping the art centre’s programme in 2024, with a view to developing a co-programming process.

Following a period of familiarisation with the art centre’s programmes, they decided to produce a short animated film. The screenplay was written by Djayssen Ouchene in collaboration with Louka Ananti, Nadir Boudjillouli, Yacine Djerbara, Adam Doudane and Mathias Nkaoua.

The screenplay was commissioned as a short animated film from Léandre Humbert, an animation writer and director. The resulting film was presented as part of an exhibition at La Salle des Machines gallery at La Friche la Belle de Mai, from November 22, 2025 to January 18, 2026.
