Anne de Sterk

1996, 1997

Anne de Sterk is an Astérides Resident in 1996 and 1997. The archives of Triangle-Astérides do not allow for the determination of the exact dates or the duration of this residency in 1996 and 1997.

Anne de Sterk was born in 1971. She lives and works in Nantes (FR)

“These disciplines nourish her creative approach by fostering heightened attention to perception. The connection between body, space, and imagination leads her to develop artistic forms grounded in a heightened physical awareness of natural forms and terrestrial environments. She invites a different way of perceiving the world — one that is more attentive to what is elemental.

Through her creations, she offers experiences to be lived, combining sound exploration, bodily perception, and collective imagination. In doing so, she questions how we might produce shared mental images — free, immaterial, yet communicable. Art becomes a dynamic process: a meeting point between perception and collectivity, between the tangible and the invisible. Each project is an invitation to experience — to see, to listen, to dream — as a way of reconnecting with what lies before our eyes.

Her approach turns art into a practice of both creation and transmission: living, fluid, and deeply restorative.”
