“Depending on the context and the theme explored, my work takes on various forms: performances, shows, installations, or sound devices. I seek to construct ‘common grounds’—spaces and spans of time where the intimate and the collective, the anecdotal and the grandiose, can intertwine.
I bring into resonance materials drawn from the collective imagination (musical or cinematic standards, set phrases, or stock scenarios) with more personal, even autobiographical, material. By appropriating immediately recognizable cinematic or theatrical techniques (DIY special effects, props, sound effects, voice-overs, subtitles), I strive to maintain a balance between moments where spectacular codes function with clarity, and others where they merely highlight gaps, absences, or zones of fragility.”
