François Mazabraud
François Mazabraud is an Astérides Resident in 2015. The archives of Triangle-Astérides do not allow for the determination of the exact dates or the duration of this residency in 2015.
François Mazabraud’s work embraces a wide spectrum of representations, where the abundance of forms mirrors the multiplicity of his concerns. This polymorphous production reflects the artist’s sharp perspective on his time and on an environment whose space he transforms into a field of investigation, and whose materials become a support for experimentation.
François Mazabraud constructs objects, invents surfaces, stages masses and raw materials, draws on encounters or places, creates parasitic systems, and intervenes in public space. He plays with successive layers of reality, injecting small doses of fiction into the very heart of a normality he both elevates and critiques.
