Harold Guérin

Harold Guérin was born in 1981, he lives and works between Reims and Nancy (FR)

“My artistic approach originates in the observation of landscape. I multiply points of view in order to perceive different portions of space and to interpret its transformations. Natural and industrial elements shape the very structure of my installations; I reconstruct functional and recognizable objects that serve as physical and tangible markers of visible or invisible boundaries, giving form to the division of space.

The temporal dimension plays a key role in my work and influences the plasticity of my volumes. I confront and hybridize materials, thereby establishing a sensitive dialogue between them. By pushing objects to the limits of their structure and construction, stripping them of their inherent functionality, I assign them a new reality and confer upon them the status of sculpture — temporal and vulnerable.”
