Roxane Borujerdi
Roxane Borujerdi was born in 1981 and lives and works in Paris and Saint-Denis (FR).
Her artistic practice spans drawing, video, photography, and performance—various techniques that respond to one another, intertwine, and merge with intuition and vibrancy. She has previously been in residence at “Astérides” in Marseille (2008, 2009), the Hospital Club in London (2009), and Duende Studios in Rotterdam (2010).
She has participated in several group exhibitions, including (selected): Plutôt que rien: démontages, Maison Populaire, Montreuil; Commettre, 6b, Saint-Denis (2011); Who Stole the Tarts, Tent, Rotterdam (performance evening, 2010); Convoi Exceptionnel, Galerie de la Friche la Belle de Mai, Marseille (2009); On fera quelque chose d’intéressant la prochaine fois, Le Commissariat, Paris; The Rehearsal Room, Form Content, London (2008); J’en rêve, Fondation Cartier, Paris; and Mots d’ordre Mots de passe, Fondation d’Entreprise Ricard, Paris (2005/2006).
A graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2006, she is currently represented by Galerie Lucile Corty, Paris, where her second solo exhibition will take place in September 2011.
