Simon Starling

Simon Starling is a Triangle France Resident in 1997. The archives of Triangle-Astérides do not allow for the determination of the exact dates or the duration of this residency in 1997.

Simon Starling was born in 1967 in Epsom (GB) and lives and works in Copenhagen (DK) and Berlin (DE).

Simon Starling’s work is marked by an interest in issues of globalization and the environment. His creations always result from a situation and an encounter with a narrative, characters, or historical facts related to the history of science and technology. From these events, the artist (re)creates a story through experiments that result in complex installations consisting of technical devices, films, photographs, objects, performances, and publications.

Simon Starling is the winner of the 2005 Turner Prize.
