“I use what is right under my nose, banal situations or objects, to manipulate them and try, through this, to question our relationship to reality.
For several years, I used my real life as a space for expression, particularly drawn to the existential issues this implies. Documents recorded these situations—videos or illustrated texts—that were sometimes amusing.
For some time now, I have also incorporated objects into this practice, which leads to installations, sometimes site-specific. I aim to maintain a certain distance from the codes and values of art and am concerned with their limits. This feeling of mistrust and desire to transgress the values that affect and shape us runs throughout my work; I try to challenge our most established conceptions and beliefs insofar as they enslave our relationship with reality.”
