Closing of the exhibition Jaimes: Reading and performance

October 15, 2022
4th floor Tour, Friche la Belle de Mai, 13003 Marseille

Program

4:00 PM – Guided Tour of the exhibition Jaimes, by the curator Marie de Gaulejac

6:00 PM – Mark, reading by Aurilian
In this performance, artist Aurilian shares with the audience a series of texts addressed to Mark Zuckerberg—whose physical presence and embodiment remain inaccessible despite numerous attempts to reach him, and despite the overwhelming presence of the structures and platforms he has created. These platforms affect mental health, sociability, and the artist’s own understanding of identity. This presentation is a work in progress.

6:45 PM – She Didn’t Say It Was Her Phone, She Said Her Girlfriend Heard A Phone Ringing, performance by Simon Asencio
Simon Asencio presents a short performance that reveals, through reading and choreography, what might constitute the invisible parameters on the margins of a writing process: preparatory notes, omissions or deletions, new reflections arising during reading and hastily scribbled in the margins, or narrative details that slip out of fiction and into reality.
