Starting with a work by Giorgio Sadotti attempting to define the “true artist” through 50 rather arbitrary assertions, the exhibition The True Artist reexamines the role the artist assigns to themselves in our society and the role society assigns to them in return. It considers the elements the artist first encounters: other artists, their various inspirations, their Masters, and their whims.
