Anne Lacour lives and works in Paris (FR)
After graduating from the Beaux-Arts in Paris, she made a brief detour as a colorist in animation before dedicating herself entirely to painting and pastels. Yet within her has always remained the need to bring color and light to life, to create an osmosis between material and natural elements. Her carefully worked backgrounds merge with vegetal or celestial forms. Her works are also a reflection on time, memory, forgetting and erasure. In her paintings, she overlays multiple layers of paint or pastel, which she sands down to reveal the underlying layers, much like distant memories that resurface over time.
Anne Lacour’s work is on display during the exhibition Trabendo, 2003.
