Antonin Horquin
Antonin Horquin is an Astérides Resident in 2017.
Antonin Horquin was born in 1982 in Saint-Martin-d’Hères (FR).
After a winding path, he began studying graphic design and graduated from ENSBA Lyon in 2009. Alongside his semi-independent design practice, he co-founded and co-managed Sunset Résidence in Lyon—a shape-shifting structure encompassing an exhibition space, an independent bookshop, and a shared studio. Its euphoric yet short-lived existence spanned from 2011 to 2014. Since then, he has adopted the role of visual artist, patiently weaving connections across his various productions, which primarily consist of still and moving images, texts, and sculptural works.
He also collaborates with Tom Castinel as part of the duo Pâle Mâle, a friendly and collaborative project whose work has been shown at CAP Saint-Fons, art3 Valence, Halle14 in Leipzig, Kunsthalle Göppingen, and Le 19, Crac in Montbéliard.
