Marie Lelouche was born in 1984 in Saint-Junien (FR), and she lives and works between Montreal (CA) and Tourcoing (FR).

[…]Marie Lelouche exposes herself to unfamiliar places, cultures, spaces and situations. Her work explores ways of interpreting and understanding different environment and culture as a stranger. Her physical dis- comfort and psychological clash can be felt in her intuition and artistic sensibilities, and are reconstructed in space. The environment reconstructed through this process gives us an opportunity to form a new understanding about the world around us, and create new psychological connections to the existing environment.[…] Through the union and transformation of these elements created by Marie, the society and nature, spaces and landscapes that have become dull because of over familiarization will awaken new sensibilities to the viewer.[…]
