Michel Gerson

Michel Gerson lives and works in Nantes (FR)

In 1999, the artist completed a one-month residency in the studios of the Galerie de la Friche la Belle de Mai in Marseille. In this gallery, from May 12 to 29 of the same year, Michel Gerson presented a series of bedsheets sourced from Marseille hotels, sheets highlighted by sketches made with materials found on site—henna, wine, spices, eosin—reflecting the connection he developed with the city and its inhabitants.
