Monica Restrepo

Monica Restrepo was born in 1982, she lives and works in Cali (CO).

“Since my graduation project at the Fine Arts School of Cali, I have been interested in exploring the different forms of narrative and representation of cultural stories and discourses conveyed by my local context, seeking a poetic and metaphoric dimension, through which I call upon the plasticity of the various media I use, such as video, performance, and drawing. These processes are accompanied by a constant reflection on the possible modes/forms of representation, installation, exhibition, and circulation of the work in a performative and critical dimension.” – Monica Restrepo
