Morgane Le Guillan

01 to 01 January 2001

Morgane Le Guillan is an Astérides Resident in 2001 and 2002. The archives of Triangle-Astérides do not allow for the determination of the exact dates or the duration of this residency in 2001 and 2002.

Morgane Le Guillan lives and works in Nantes (FR)

The work revolves around the body in its relationship with biological imagination. Here, the definition of the body is no longer fixed. These protean questions manifest as objects (sculptures) that exist between envelope and penetration—open organisms where the distinction between interior and exterior is lost.

Situated at the crossroads of the biological and medical realms, as well as those of play and childhood, a strange connection is established, endowing the object with a dangerously fascinating power.

Conceived as stimulants for the imagination, as triggers for fantasy, they ensnare the viewer in the trap of their own perceptions, inviting tactile experience while suggesting unlimited functional possibilities.

Morgane Le Guillan’s work is on display during the exhibition Trabendo, 2003.
