Natsuko Uchino
Natsuko Uchino is an Astérides Resident in 2015.
The archives of Triangle-Astérides do not provide information regarding the dates or the duration of this residency.
Natsuko Uchino develops a cross-disciplinary practice that weaves connections between art and ecology. Her experience with polyculture farming has led her to break down boundaries between artistic disciplines.
Her installations combine the diverse materials of sculpture with functional objects and living elements. In her stagings, cooks, farmers, poets, filmmakers, musicians, performers, visual artists, artisans, curators, actors, and dancers come together. Image, film, documentary, and lyricism intersect to integrate the empirical and the affective into the creative process.
Natsuko Uchino’s work is on display during the exhibition Actuellement en résidence #1, 2015.
