Vincent Bunel

How can one attempt to apprehend reality in the diversity of its phenomena without manipulating it? Within it, chance and contradiction are reasonable. The boundary between order and disorder is not clearly defined, as each expresses itself through the other. Thus, a framework of simple rules applied to elements chosen for their intrinsic connective qualities opens onto a process of dynamic articulation, complex and generative of variations. The construction evolves slowly, in uncertainty and randomness, toward the emergence of a singular form of organization.
The wandering of the walk is governed by the mechanical repetition of the slips of a pen tip. In waiting, at a variable pace, drops of glue kneaded into balls are stacked one on top of another; they are placed gradually, where the hand encounters the obstacle of the others. Following the flow of water, plumb lines are woven by the turbulence of the current.
